Gbadegesin Alawode

Gbadegesin Alawode is a serial innovator, entrepreneur and development practitioner with over 10 years of experience designing, leading, and managing high-impact technology innovations and projects, aimed at solving pressing local developmental challenges affecting millions of people. He co-founded Tech4AG LTD with the product mDairy- a digital application developed to boost local milk production and improve the dairy value chain in Nigeria. The App provides dairy farmers with online and offline information about best dairy practices, as well as record keeping of milk, and the health of their cows via their mobile phones. mDairy also offers surveys, analytics, and reporting to dairy companies and other users via a web version to enhance program planning and decision making.

Gbadegesin is currently the Alumni Ambassador for the Orange Corners Nigeria programme where he coordinates, manages and provides overall strategic leadership to over 100 innovative entrepreneurs who graduated from the Orange Corners Programme. He is a recipient of the 2014 State National Youth Service Corps Award in Katsina State; Women Deliver 2016 Scholarship Copenhagen, Denmark; fellow of the 2017 Dutch-Nigerian Student Business Challenge, Netherlands; 2018 Future Leaders Connect Nigeria finalist; and 2021 Orange Corners Incubatee. He and his team won the Best presentation prize and 2nd best runner-up, business model during the Dutch-Nigerian Student Business Challenge 2017.

He holds a Master’s degree in Public Health, certificates in Entrepreneurship from the Delft University of Technology and Orange Corners Programme, Fate Foundation.
